I was looking in the classifieds & saw a 1200HP 4BT performance/race engine with compound turbo’s, so got thinking & wondering could a 4BD1 get the same sort of HP????
Has anyone done a high hp 4BD1

The stock injection pump has enough fuel for an honest 300hp (220kw). @carcrafter22 is the only forum member who seriously modded his engine for big power. Custom injection pump, large compound turbos. Likely well over 500hp but never dyno'd. He lost it all in a divorce and hasn't really been back.
