Advanced Adapters sell a Bell Housing for the NV-4500 that will mate to the 89/93 Flywheel Housing Adapter. It also uses the 89-93 Starter.
I have never used this setup, just seen it in the AA Catalog.
My chevy has a 92 dodge cummins in it,which was originally bolted to an auto.I swapped a later(thicker) 95 and up dodge engine plate onto the 92 motor, then just bolted up the dodge NV4500.A 92 flywheel will work with the NV4500 just have to machine the hole for the pilot bearing a little bigger,oh ..and use a later starter.
Does that make sense!!
The early 89-91.5 had the 727 HD (37RH), it is a diesel specific 727 3spd, the case and some internals are different than any of the other 727 transmissions. The 91.5-93' had the 518 overdrive units. Dodge went to the lock-up torque converter automatic overdrive (47RH) in 94', the engine/transmission adapter and starter was changed at that time.
