Where do most of you guys get your Cummins 4BT engine from?

I am sure they are expensive new....

Can you get a reliable one from a junk yard?

I bought mine from Quality Core in Bruceville/Lorena, Texas.

It was $1750 and was complete with trans and accessories, just as it was when pulled from the bread truck

It is a HUGE semi truck/industrial wrecking yard. Richard is the guy to talk to.

They usually have about a dozen or so, but it is best to look them over in person because each usually has a little bit of damage, depending on how it had been handled. Only thing wrong with mine was an oil pressure fitting was broke off in the block, but it only took 30 seconds with an E-Z-out and it was out (But the stream of oil shooting out of the side on start-up was a real surprise!)
