I've looked for a while now, my 4BD1T is currently 12v and my truck is 24v. Trying to find a quality 24v starter and alternator seems to be impossible. But then I realized its not even that, water pumps, glowplugs, etc, all made in China and seems a bit TOOO cheap. On the other hand I can find OEM alternators for like $2,500...

Is there any in between out there that I just don't know about?

The 24v starter I got was allegedly made in Brazil. But how could I know? It's been rock solid.
There are so many generic brands around these days for engine accessories and peripherals. Most seem to work fine.

Most every part, is now from China. I have had too resort, to some NON Cummins parts and have had no problems with them.
